Before uploading music
A musical composition and a sound recording can be separately protected. Uploaders must control both categories of rights and any samples, artwork and performances. The U.S. Copyright Office provides a plain-language guide for musicians and copyright.
Copyright complaint
Send a written notice to support@buffalorappers.com containing: your physical or electronic signature; identification of the copyrighted work; the exact Buffalo Rappers URL or enough detail to locate the material; your contact information; a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act for the owner.
Response and counter-notice
We will review sufficiently complete notices, may disable material promptly and will notify the uploader where appropriate. A counter-notice must identify the removed material, include the required consent-to-jurisdiction and service statements, and be signed. Repeat infringement can result in termination.
Required owner action
The site operator should designate and maintain a DMCA agent before broad U.S. public launch. The U.S. Copyright Office maintains the official designated-agent directory and notice requirements. This page does not itself complete that registration.
